Facebook makes my life harder
My Facebook account pulls posts from my LiveJournal (the public ones, anyway), and the band's Facebook page pulls posts from the ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} ebenbrooksband community. For these reasons, I won't be visiting Facebook very much from now on.Why? Because it has put major stresses on some of my friendships. Several people whom I know to be good, decent, reasonable folk in the real world . . . well, let's just say that they exhibit some troll-like tendencies on FB. Now, some of you have seen my debates with ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} whswhs in the comments of both his and my posts here on LiveJournal, and those have, for the most part, been civil . . . except when they weren't. And then there was the oh so classic flounce by mythusmage a couple of years ago, where he threw a temper tantrum because I had the audacity to tell him to please shut up when he insulted George Carlin in a post where I was eulogizing him. So, no, my LJing has not been free from drama. But drama seems to be what Facebook is made of. And I just can't deal with it anymore.To those of my friends who are reading this on Facebook, I am sorry. I'll keep my account there active, and my LJ posts will continue to be cross-posted there . . . but actually visiting FB is bad for my blood pressure.
